Tojal (Montemor-o-Novo)
The enclosure is part of an area densely populated by megalithic monuments: the same hill flattened, which locates the enclosure Tojal, a distance of 1 km, we have the menhir Tojal, one pre-historic village (Neolithic or Chalcolithic) and several megalithic tombs ; by less than 3 km further south, there are the remains of another enclosure, much destroyed (Casas de Baixo).
The Tojal occupies the top of a relatively steep slope, exposed to the east. The substrate geology consists of Tertiary deposits, although there are tonalites within walking distance, in lower quota.
The menhir 15 shows in the face upwards, an engraving, probably modern, consisting of five triangles arranged in cross
